I’m a big believer that multitasking isn’t a good idea for a lot of reasons. Did you know it could actually be making you fatter? Doing multiple things at the same time tends to split your attention so that you are unable to focus fully on any given task.

Eating Too Much Junk
This basically comes from not having enough time to prepare healthy foods. You know fast food and junk food aren’t good for you, but they're just aren’t enough hours in the day. Fast food is easy and you can get it quickly, but it could be one of the unhealthy eating habits that are keeping you from enjoying the body you desire.
Instead, take an hour or so on Sunday night and prepare meals for the week. By doing all the work at once, you save yourself the hassle of squeezing in 15 minutes here or 20 minutes there to make a nice sandwich or cook something. If you live with someone else, consider taking turns cooking with them to take some pressure off of both of you.
Not Drinking Enough Water
Water is the secret to weight loss. Keeping yourself hydrated enhances liver function (which increases your body’s fat-burning capacity), and it quenches your thirst. Many people actually mistake thirst for hunger and end up overeating when a simple glass of water would fix the situation. This is one of the biggest unhealthy eating habits I see people making.
Now, understand that this is exclusively water I’m talking about. Not juice or soda or coffee or sports drinks. Just plain old water.
Eating as if It’s a Race
I know you’re busy. Pretty much everyone has an endless to-do list these days. Sometimes you only have a few minutes to squeeze in a quick sandwich between meetings at work. But eating too fast isn’t good for your waistline.
It takes about 20 minutes for your stomach to actually let your brain know that you’re full and you can stop eating. If you’re shoveling food into your mouth like there’s no tomorrow, it increases the chance that you’ll overeat. So take your time and enjoy your meals. Not only does this give you the time to actually taste what you eat, but it will also keep you from eating too much.
Getting rid of unhealthy eating habits is important to losing weight and getting in shape. I know that our lives can be very hectic these days, but simply taking a little time out of your day to make sure you get proper nutrition can go a long way.
